DESIGN a CHILD's bedroom in Top View, Orthographic View & Camera Angle View
-Please start with the top view, then camera view to flush out the framed composition, then work towards the Isometric View-
(An isometric view is very similar to drawing inside a box. It is a particular perspective that places the viewer over the environment, allowing them to see on top with multiple sides visible. It does not have to be in 3point perspective, but the horizon line is definitely up high.)
You will be designing the interior of a child's bedroom, with many props that help identify story attributes about that character. So gathering reference, and designing props first will help you build the room that identify the character below.
STORY PROMPT
-Back story-
The Mueller Family lives in Aurora, Missouri, with Kathleen and Cliff, the mother and father of William and Hannah. (They have family lineage that traces back to the northern Vikings of Norway.) Kathleen is a high school science teacher, while Cliff is hardworking wood craftsman, inventor & semi-truck driver. They live in a 2 story house, with a basement, on 7 acres of land next to a large Missouri forest. Together as a family they complement each other well traveling, and solving local mysteries within their city.
-choose one below-
William is the older brother, 12 years old tall slender and lanky. He is a typical boy that loves the outdoors, skateboarding, karate, and having fun. He spends his days skateboarding, bike riding, scooter jumping, and box car racing. He loves things that move. He really enjoys remote control cars, and other RC devices as well. He spends a lot of his time creating inventions that really never seem to work. Heavily influenced by his fathers work-shop abilities he can take anything apart and piece them back together. Hopefully one of his inventions might come together soon and actually work. He was working on rocket back pack, powered by potatoes and other left over vegetables.
Hannah is a little scientist who loves exploring, and loves nature. (She is 8 to 10 years old.) Some would describe her as a girly tom boy, who isn't afraid to get her fingers dirty, but still keeps her girl appearance apparent. So she likes the outdoors and loves to go for hikes in the local forest, exploring nature and all the insects. She loves Teddy Bears and collecting stuffed animals of her favorite insects. Being around her mother has given her an interest in chemistry for combining different elements together, and experimenting with elements to see how to use them. She is currently attempting to make her own organic toothpaste.
(Extra Credit- You can design the exterior of their house if you like.)
